This crepe de chine silk features 8 happy turtles swimming in royal blue/turquoise and teal. Seawater was used in portions of the piece to add texture and movement. The finished piece rests for 2 days then is steamed at very intense heat in a steambox to heat-set the dye. The steaming process is responsible for the vibrant color and texture produced by the salt in seawater. This silk measures 14" x 72" and is hand washable. It is also available in small (8"x54") and medium (14"x60") sizes, please email if interested.
